David Bowers, Vice President
Over 30 years of extensive healthcare experience, with 15 years at CNB Research as one of the principals. Dave has a much more varied background than typical personnel do in marketing research companies. His lengthy experiences include Novartis, Schering-Plough, Johnson & Johnson, and Datascope with positions in pharmaceutical sales, marketing research, product management, business development, marketing research management, and marketing management.

From 1972 to 1982, Dave worked for Novartis (formerly Sandoz) as a sales representative, selling pain, psychotherapeutics, appetite suppressants and cold/flu products. He was also a Market Research analyst and had sole responsibility for an early Alzheimer’s drug. Before leaving Novartis, he held the position of Product Manager, responsible for all pain, headache, and arthritis drugs.

For the next two years, he was at Schering Plough as Marketing Research Manager, responsible for managing the market research department, all secondary and primary research, for all Rx products.

From 1984 to 1992 Dave was Director of Marketing Research at Ethicon (Johnson & Johnson’s surgical division), responsible for managing the market research department, strategic planning (reporting directly to the President) and business development. In 1992, Dave joined Datascope as the Director of Global Marketing, responsible for product management, strategic planning, and marketing research for major CV device, which contributed to 50% of corporation sales. Dave has been a principal with CNB since 1993, responsible for much of the qualitative research.
